Liquid AbstractionSampled in one instant and frozen in time, a natural abstract art form resembled rivulets of ink spilled into water. Indeed, it was water--the gently wind-rippled surface of a pond in Everglades National Park, reflecting the essentially monochromatic light of an overcast sky and its silhouettes of intervening wetland plants.
