Altocumulus Translucidus Undulatus
The winter sky over North Texas was festooned with shingles of undulating, translucent altocumulus (hence that nomenclatural mouthful of Latin), on the last day of 2001. A Denton water tower, lower right, and the buildings of Texas Women's University, lower left, triangulate with the sun.
