Convective Great Plains Sunset
A convective sunset splashed a wonderful blend of light, shadow and hue across the Great Plains sky. Such is a simple pleasure of storm observing, whatever else may happen on such a trip! Fortunately the show wasn't over; the supercell thunderstorm at right treated us to a dazzling lightning spectacle after dark.
