More Rain-wrapped Tornado
(Part 3 of 3) The Comstock tornado became more and more deeply enshrouded in rain, until it wasn't visible at all. This was our last decent view of it; and we didn't know how much later it dissipated. Photography under such circumstances is challenging, to say the least, given the darkness, low contrast, potentially dangerous conditions (including risk of lightning), and of course, obstructions such as hills, trees and structures. This was the best viewing spot we could find on a very short notice, unfortunately with power lines positioned over the stormward side of the road. No complaints, though...we were fortunate just to find a way to see the tornado and report it to the NWS.
