A Temperature in Freezing Drizzle
Reading this ice-coated thermometer shows why the falling drizzle was freezing on it. Within half an hour, all sorts of surfaces -- bushes, trees, houses, grass -- were encrusted with about 1/4 to 1/3 inch of ice.
