Somewhere over the northeastern Gulf, on a flight from Miami to Dallas, the window filled with a delightful display of dancing light and color, sundown soon at hand. Fortunately the slide camera was within reach and could be triggered during the fleeting brilliance of this layered light show. This is what it looks like from about 35,000 feet above, when the sun has set at the surface, the low clouds already have gone into shadows and the only sunlight remaining is that reflected off middle and high clouds.
