Lightning at Moonrise
While observing and photographing rather prolific lightning production in the middle and upper levels of a departing storm complex, a strange reddish orb appeared under the storm's distant cloud flank--the rising moon! This was an utterly unplanned and most welcome event. Given the fickle nature of storms, capturing such a juxtaposition of phenomena is...frankly, phenomenally fortunate!
