Layer Cake
Clouds arranged in distinct layers and silhouetted by in-cloud and in-precip lightning behind a Mesoscale Convective System (MCS) of thunderstorms. The layers are a mixture of convective and horizontally stratified cloud elements on the W (rear) side of the intensifying MCS, which is moving away to the E.
