The Majestic Supercell
After producing a menacing wall cloud, this supercell quickly wrapped itself in copious precipitation. Here, the mecocyclone (with wall cloud) was located just behind the junction of the forward-flank cloud band to the north (distant right) and the surging, rain-filled rear-flank downdraft (near left). On radar, this would take a kidney-bean or thick hook shape, and with a reflectivity notch.
