OU Lightning
Several CGs, some partially hidden in rain, light up the skies over the OU campus. The ragged base of an arcus cloud is visible in the top foreground - a later stage of the one that assumed a plated appearance in the "When Thunderstorms Collide" photo. The funnel-like feature at left looks suspicious -- but was transient and non-rotating. When spotting at night, and something briefly shows up looking like a funnel silhouetted by lightning, do not jump to conclusions. Watch for further clues, including persistence and debris or power flashes underneath.
