Torrent on the Ledge

Doesn't this look like a great place to take a natural shower on a hot summer day? It would be, except that this ledge of resistant igneous rock still is some 40 feet above the bottom of the entire north cascade of Pigeon High falls, directly on the USA/Canada border. Other than photographing it, then, all I could do was stare into the splashing torrent, listen to the ceaseless rush of the water, and relax for a spell. That's not a bad alternative to being right in there, eh? [Having done this from the Canadian side of the Pigeon River, I had to add "eh."]
