We were blessed to behold one of the most beautiful cascades of the Cascades, spilling its blend of rainfall and snowmelt off the slopes of the Northwest's highest peak. Overcast conditions are ideal for shooting waterfalls, and light rain is better still. The surfaces glisten with moisture, the diffused light makes shadows less harsh and lowers dynamic range, and the muted luminance allows long exposures at high f-stop to bring out both rich depth-of-field and all-natural color saturation of the lush rain-forest greenery. Isn't the beauty of God's creations amazing?
