Nature, in the form of waterside plants, does a reasonable approximation of (or were such scenes an inspiration for?) the mathematically-generated visual forms pioneered by the late Benoît Mandelbrot. I've shot many scenes of reflective symmetry--but very few so detailed, so remarkably resembling the output of the complex quadratic polynomials that generate the digital art.
