The "second season" doesn't always pan out for supercell observers, but on 4 October 1998, it yielded this beautiful tornado near Dover, OK. I had the privilege of watching it form to my west-southwest and last nearly 15 minutes while observing it from one spot. At closest approach, it tracked a mile the south, then a couple of miles southeast of me at the time of this wide-angle shot (35 mm Fujichrome Sensia film), before moving well to the east and dissipating in rain.
