An Improbable Tornado

While stopped at a T-crossing in between two tornado-producing supercells, and staring at a tiny, ragged updraft to the east, we tried to decide which storm to pursue: north or south. The atmosphere decided for us: none of the above! This amazing little tornado materialized beneath that unlikely eastern updraft and lasted several minutes, twirling gracefully and beautifully in muted sunshine across open grassland, and harming nothing, as we prefer.
