Deep in the heart of Texas, a multi-year drought allowed wildflower seeds to accumulate ungerminated for years, their sprouts unleashed in near-record profusion by a wet autumn and winter. Locals said that the following spring was one of the best they ever had seen for wildflowers. We were fortunate to witness the amazing show at its peak, immersing ourselves in the colorful bounty.
