Morning at Narada Falls

Morning at Narada Falls

Beyond a sunlit knoll of grass and wildflowers, one of the most delicately beautiful cascades of the Cascades spills a steady volume of water off the flanks of Mount Rainier and into the surrounding temperate rain forest. This waterfall's best exhibition is either in ghostly twilight, or draped in a rainbow on a sunny, early morning in late summer. Fortunately I caught the latter, with much less spray blowing this way than on other visits, and with remarkably few others around to distract from the experience.
