Eighteen years ago this week, this scene from the former National Hurricane Center parking lot became one of the most widely viewed and iconic of Hurricane Andrew's aftermath, once broadcast nationwide on live TV. That's how the bottom car's owner, an NHC forecaster who was in the DC area at the time, learned of his vehicle's fate.
